category: waterfowl
Breed: Mallard duck
age: 3 days I think
name: Po or Pom Pom
gender: male (We think)
I know he is not a typical duck breed for raising, but There was a duck my family liked a lot and she was wild and would eat from our hands. Then one day we found out she had eggs and a nest. A while after discovering her, My grandparents heard duck screams in the middle of the night and in the morning a bunch of the eggs were gone and the mama duck (Bolndie) Would not go near her nest. We believe it was a mink. My sweet old grandparents, having a soft spot for Blondie, took all three eggs in an effort to hatch them, and successfully hatched one. We named him Po. He loved to swim around with the kids and pretend he was going to attack your hand. He loved cuddles, and to just be with people. The night before he turned one week old, we believe a mink somehow got into the garage where he was kept and ate him. In the morning, he was just gone. We know he didn't run away, he would have come quacking back and he never could have gotten out of his brooder. My grandpa took it the hardest, but in the end, we all moved on. Po was much loved and enjoyed the life he got to live. : ) R.I.P Po (sorry for the sad post)View attachment 2419336

This is our Pilgrim goose Mayflower. What a character! I have to put the computer by the open back door in the morning and she comes and listens to music. She loves Youtube's 10 Must Know Opera Songs. She plunks down and sits there and listens for at least an hour. When it's cold we bring her in and she lays on my lap in a towel while we have easy listening station on the TV. She nod off, her neck draped over my arm. For a joke, hubby made these tiny head phones for her! We always say "It's time for Mayflower's Top 40!"

I missed what the categories are, so this is “Most Shiftless”. I have had Anastasia for 10 months (regimes to me as an adult) and as yet, no eggs. She is named for the main character in 50 Shades of Gray, because she has at least that many shades in her feathers.

Large Chicken, Lavender Orpington. His name is ..Big Boy. He is the absolute friendliest rooster I have ever known. When he was born, he rolled out of the egg and was so big that my husband and I were both in silence for a few seconds, haha! It was like .. how in the world did he fit inside that egg... lol! We named him Big Boy right then. I’ll add a few photos so you can see him better. He loves to stand on a stump in my yard and crow. He has the most beautiful eyes and bright red comb.
