Wow! It sounds like I missed a really great time! I'm so sorry, but I couldn't miss my daughter's first softball tournament.
GOOD JOB 'Capital City Extreme'!!!
They went from the loser's bracket to winning runner-up in the Tournament! and it was the first time they had ever played together! What a great bunch of girls!!
Is there another Sadieville Swap planned? I sure hope so! If there is you should post it at the Tractor Supply, I always run into people looking for different breeds of chickens in the Tractor Supply.
There is a swap June 19th at the Lakeside Arena in Frankfort Ky. hosted by the Bluegrass Poultry Association. It starts at about 8:00 a.m. and runs till everyone is done. It costs $ 5.00 to sell anything!
It is a pretty good swap, a nice variety, It is outside but it is covered in a pole barn. So your out of the sun and no rain!
I've been going and doing pretty good selling some birds. People from all over show up.
I hope somebody will post if they know of any other swaps coming up and when the next Sadieville Swap is. We really need a good swap in Scott County I hope this one happens again!
I do have some birds for sale if somebody didn't come home with enough! LOL!
Just e-mail me [email protected]
I can deliver within a reasonable distance, during the daytime.
Thanks and I'm so glad everyone had such a nice time, I sure hope there will be another one!
Be Blessed!

Then he and the orp gal are about the same age. Seems ole JB has settled in. He was first to the feeder this morning so I guess he's figured the order out ok.
I am definitely going to organize another meet. I'm working on date, and time and other specifics. Like should there be a "booth" charge? How do I reduce the likelihood folks might buy sick or misrepresented birds? That is my biggest concern. I feel real bad for Heather and I don't want folks to have the same thing happen to them. It's bad for everyone involved.

Well when it comes to buying birds or anything from someone else, it is always Buyer Beware. It will be kind of hard to monitor unless you can visually see that the birds are ill. I can bring NPIP paperwork and Vet Health Certificates on all my chickens and ducks but not everyone is going to be able to do that or even want to. The only thing I can think to do is to get the contact information from any seller you buy from or have everyone fill out a contact sheet along with a list of what they are bringing. Also stressing the point of guarantine and so forth.
You could keep a seller record...when they show up, get all their contact info and take pics of the birds they bring. Then if someone gets a sick bird, you can track down where they got it from.
As to the booth fee...I know Kyfila says the big one in Frankfort charges $5 to sell...no matter how much you sell or how many you bring.
So, should I start collecting duckie eggs and fire up the bator gal? LOL
HELP!!
A dog just got in and killed my male guinea! I now have 4 females without a man! Sad day at this hacienda' Does anyone have any or know of any adult male guineas for sale?
I have a ton of keets but they are just babies.
I would love to find a new male if anybody knows of one. Thanks!
Be Blessed!
Kim

Fire away!!
I was thinking on having a seller contact list. ie if you are gonna sell, you have to "sign in" at bare minimum. I'm thinking the fee might help off set cost of advertising, posters, flyers and such.
