NellaBean has a blue barred rock boy but so far no one has advised me of BRs coming for sale...but that does not mean anything either.

Nella, that little girl with the light blue band (looks like the same bird in both pics), I want that little girl. She is so adorable and I love how much creamy beige and blue is showing on her. Unless you have a prettier marked girl, I want her.

That's fine. She is one of my "keepers" however I really struggled to pick who I wanted to keep and who I didn't with the other 4 pairs...so I will keep one of those instead

. She is the only blue bander so she will be yours

BTW, these porcelains are much prettier in person. those colors do not photograph well, especially with the "dirt" background.

I have no idea if she is "typey" but I really like her. She just looks beautiful to me...I like her face a lot. Find her a handsome sweet boy now.

Is anyone other than Cetawin and scbatz33 interested in anything on my list? I go to Lexington bout once a month anyways, so may skip the swap and "deliver" their birds on my next trip (first or second weekend in august) if nobody else wants anything. I hate to make the trip and all that trouble for nothing!

NellaBean, Most of the buyers at the last swap were not from BYC, but locals. BYCers were sellers. I think that is how it will be this time as well. We had a good showing last time and sales were great too. I think I was the only BYCer who did not sell what they brought...or most of it. I brought two adult drakes though so that is a hard sale.

I would really say it is worth the trip for sure. Especially for you since you have such good stock. Bantams were selling like hot cakes at the last swap too. But I am willing to wait for my pair until your next trip...We would love to see you there though and get a chance to meet and hang out for a bit.

Did anyone have any luck selling other ducks? I have 8 runner duck FEMALES (whoo) that are driving me insane. Never had ducks before and they are way too flighty for me. They will be 8 weeks or slightly older by the swap. SOMEBODY PLEASE BUY THEM LOL.

I still have it on my calender but was tossing around whether to come or not. Did anyone have luck selling extra roosters?

I came to the last swap and would love to come to this one but it's a long haul for us and I have our local swap coming up... Sucks cause I realllllly want 2pairs of your d'uccles and some of thos cochin pairs...

I'm on a thin line right now, and may have to sell off a lot of my birds. Decisions will be made by the end of the week. I don't know of any sales closer to home right now. Will keep ya'll posted

LOL! Yeah I saw your GINORMOUS basket last night. What the heck do you do with all of them????

Oh and no losses this morning either. Although I did have a moment of panic when i realized the boy did not close the opening to the run. But everyone was there for roll call this morning and the traps untouched. I'm not sure I'm understanding........have they figured out the trap? Do they know we're killing them off? This is SO frustrating!!!

I want to believe it was only two raccoons and a possum, but I'm just not buying it.

I do a lot of baking, I feed them back to the birds by the several dozen, give them away and etc.

Yes, the coons have figured out what is going on...they are probably looking for another way in and avoiding that area. The flour is a great idea if you know what their tracks look like. Try moving the traps like out in the aisle. Spread flour all around those feed bins and see if anything is coming in there.

Oh I know what they look like, They were outside my laying coop this morning. Killed my best black breeder. Jeff took care of it before I saw it. We switched to sardines. Caught one last night. But they weren't alone. My feed bin was open and the kitten food torn up(it was inside the bin) and I know I closed it yesterday. Plus my dead hen is in the other building. This one was really big - Jeff said it had to be over 20 lbs. There is no way that one was the one in teh coop last night. It was too big
