Poults dying

Hubby bought 6 4 week old poults about 3 weeks ago..they all seemed to be doing great until about a few days ago..One started acting sluggish and then died..now I have another doing the same thing..he feels like skin and bones. I've been feeding them medicated starter and have dewormed once. Any suggestion or advice?

Could they be cold? Are they inside in a brooder? Is your food 28-30% protein turkey/gamebird starter?

At 7 weeks old do you still have them in a brooder or outside?

Why would you worm that young? Not saying you shouldn't, just curious. I only worm my adult birds never chicks or poults. Seems the odds of a few poults in an uncontaminated environment getting worms would be slim to none.
