Just got four poults did not notice till i got home but one has a almost shut eye does not look red, a little swollen. what can i do for it.

Thanks

You could put a small amount of plain neosporin on it. If a small amount gets in the eye - it is ok. Congrats on the new poults

I would leave it with the others. As long as it's not bloody, can eat and drink and not really sick - I think it is better to leave them together as it doesn't stress the bird.

I would put it on in the am and again in the pm. It may take a couple days but, it should help it clear up. If the eye was scratched it might take a week but, I've had pretty good results with it. Hope it clears up quickly for you.

Ok thanks, I also am using Collodial Silver from the health food store and also the Neosporin. thanks for your help.

If it don't clear up in a week, it has only been three days but it does not look any better it is still shut. Do you think I should use terramycin?

You may need to hold a warm compress on it to softens the gunk so, meds can get in. If it's not getting any better - I would add antibiotics to the poults drinking water now. I hope it starts improving soon.
