he's not to heavy but when he was a hatchling he wasn't much bigger than a fence lizard!!! He's a lot bigger now he'll be 4 this Christmas my parents always find ways to surprise me and man was I surprised!!!! I love surprises there the best and so worth waiting for!!! He should be bigger but I fed him to many sweets and not enough nutritious foods I didn't know until about six months ago though.He can live up to 60 years of age and has another 6+ years of growing.
That is good to know. I am not familiar with chickens at all so have no idea. I was always getting confused between the 2 sexes since I have noticed the comb and wattle things on both. but if the male has more there plus more coloring I should be able to tell. Thanks for putting up the example of the 2 genders.This should help with the confusion between the differences of a hen and a rooster.
The rooster has a lot more detail and extra feathers around the neck and tail a hen lack and the rooster is much brighter colored and has a greater comb and wattles then a hen although these two have different combs that still would remain the same.A leghorn hen has a much bigger comb then a barred rock hen but they are both female it also depends on the breed the size of combs but in each breed the male will always have a greater comb and tail.
Haha. The girl gooses don't like your sibs. I could tell totally how much Assyra loved the camera. Not shy about it or anything for that matter. If I were your sister and they both came running after me like that I'd run screaming too. They can be kinda scary. I am glad you love them the best. And you said the word. SOFT. That's my Australorp rooster Maxwell he's got the green sheen like my scovies because my drakes and him have to show off to the ladies! Haha their cute pretty boys they are very beautiful I love their feathers.
