Poults in the hatching tray?

I leave my chicks in the hatching tray for 2-3 days until the hatch is done. I hate to open the door! Will poults be OK for a couple of days also?

The should be but I would come closer to just a few days with them. Poults are a bit harder to raise, and you have to dip their beaks and all just to get them to drink. I have never had to do that with my chickens. So, I'd be leery of letting them go as long.

You can do the same thing with poults. They can go for about 5 days after hatch, that's how the hatcheries can ship them.

I always try to raise them with a few chicks for the first week or so, they follow the chicks around and pick it up from them.
