Powderpuff butts look a little poopy

Is this normal after they have started laying! Or Should I adjust their feed or something! I am still trying to feel my way through my first year of chickens. Thanks for any advice. They otherwise are eating and behaving normally.
 
Grab one and wash the poopy butt with lots of water and a rag....then you can see the individual feathers around the vent....trim them with scissors almost down to the skin....it will look horrible, like a baboons butt until the feathers dry and fill in. Good luck!
