Power is out and going down to -1

So we haven’t had power all day and my chicks in the garage have had no heat source for 8 hours. They are 3-4 weeks. The temperature is to drop to -1 tonight but they are in an insulated garage but no heat. Should I bring them inside the house?

They should absolutely come into the house. At their age, they do not have enough feathering to keep them warn enough. Where do you live?
I'd be placing hot rocks covered so not to burn them to try and help them stay warm. At 3 weeks I think they need to be kept around 75-80 degrees.

I live in Saskatchewan and the weather has took a nasty spell. I cleaned a rubber made and brought them inside. No heat obviously but hopefully that will help.

Sounds like a good excuse to snuggle those babies close! Your body heat can help to keep them warm if things get really bad. Hoping for the best!

A heat lamp possibly or if in the house they should be fine till this weather we all are getting smartens up again..

The OPs power is out, so no heat lamp!
If this goes on, and you don't have another heat source (fireplace? wood stove?) can they go to a friend's house who has electricity?
And don't forget to drain your water pipes!

-1. In Sept? Put them in a secure roomy container, put them in the back seat of your car and MOVE!
Otherwise, fairly rigid small container with LOTS of air holes. Into your bed with you. If you don't freeze the chicks won't freeze. Just try to make sure to "fan" the covers occasionally to get them some fresh air.
And for the future, you might reconsider Sept hatchings.

-1C really isn't that cold and your Chicks are almost 4 weeks old. They will be okay in the house till the power comes on.
