my power is out 11 hrs so far. I have been cuddling my eggs in my bed sofar, 6 hrs hatching day 8.it is getting old.

I know eggs can go 12 with out heat. I hope with the cuddles the will be warm enough. I am sweaty.

I know many other states are suffering. You can post if you like.

18 hours total.
do you know if any of you neighbors or friends has a generator you could use? I read that in early incubation its fine but if it's before they hatch you should just try and keep them as warm as possible. I've never hatched eggs before so I probably wouldn't be the person to ask but That's what i founf online.
hopefully everything works out

Developing chicks are much hardier to cool streaks than people think. I had a broody hen with eggs up in the hay. My daughter would go get her and lock her in the chicken pen each night. My daughter decided to candle the eggs before throwing them out. The eggs had good veining despite freezing temperatures. We currently have six chicks from those eggs. Good luck with your hatch.

I know 12 hrs they can co with out heat. I kept them warm in my bed for 9 hrs.

I did have power outages in the past, and still had a great hatch.

My Toy story hatch is hatching, they may have just been delayed one or 2 days. I am glad I cuddled them. Of the group of eggs I lost 3.

13/16 (16 hr. power out.)
