PPBA Show in Stockton, CA in January?

Cheryl did you locate numbered bands? I am making a run to town tomorrow and can get some for you... they are around 20cents each, I just need to know what size birds you have.

I am thinking the sales pens open around 2pm Friday, when general coop-in begins, but I don't know for sure... I just heard from some of the club people, that once their birds are cooped-in, thats where everyone heads to see what goodies people brought that they can take home.

We went last year to this show and it was so fun! We bought a Cochin Frizzle hen there. From her we have about 12 Firzzles running around. BUT she died a month ago.

Anyway we look forward to going this weekend. We have MORE than enough birds so we will have to stay away from the sale barn! lol
We live in Modesto so it's close.

Thanks I washed them and (blow dryed them!!), they aren't thrilled about being the cages but I've been taking them out, adding food water, just basically being a pest...so in hopes they will get used to the commotion. I can't say I'm thrilled about doing this. I believe chickens should be chickens and I hate seeing them in cages. Not sure if I'll do this again, but it is good experience and I look forward to the experts I'll meet in these breeds.

On friday the building opens at 2pm to coop in show birds and all buildings close at 9pm

Hi all! I haven't been around much this year on BYC -- too much else going on in the real world.

But I *am* going to Stockton, and I would like to meet up with some of you who I've met in previous years. Is the current plan to meet in the raffle area at noon?

Western Farm Center in Santa Rosa has numbered bands, behind the counter. I think most feed stores should...maybe they all keep them in the back.
They are sold at the show, but I don't know if they're selling anything on Friday.

Ok, here is a list of breeds I will be bringing to the sales pens, LF Wyandottes (Splash, Blue-Laced Red, Blue Barred, Barred and Buff, maybe Silver Pencilled); French Black Copper Marans (Jean-Presley), French White Marans; --these birds are all 7-11 months old.

I also have one pair of pet quality Dark Brahma Bantams (7 months), a few pet quality Golden-Laced Wyandottes (1.5 yrs), and a limited number of started French Marans in Solid White, Solid Blue and Black Copper (4-12 weeks) I will deliver to Stockton, if anyone is interested in purchasing them ahead of time.
