I'll be praying for Corey, his family and for the doctors that God will give them wisdom as they treat him.

Just a quick update...
Corey has been moved out of ICU and into a head trauma unit room. He is conscious and talking, and he can also walk with a little assistance. A CAT Scan showed that he had two minor strokes at some point, but hopefully the danger of that is gone. Like many patients in his situation, he has lost his sense of discernment about what is and is not appropriate to say, so he curses like a sailor. The nurses tell us that phase will pass. Our biggest concern is that he has short term memory loss. If you leave the room and come back, he does not remember you being there the first time. We hope that will be temporary and that his memory will be normal in time. Thank you for all the prayers and concern!

Corey came home from the hospital Thursday last week. The doctors say he will have to relearn how to read and write, but that the information is there, it will just have to be triggered again. They expect him to make a full recovery. Thanks for all the kind words, concern, and prayers!
