Yes of course it will work out, you know that as well as I do. "we got your back". Just for me I have two knees to kick you with and 2 shoulders to cry on if you ever need them. You just let us know what we can do for you.

Yes tomorrow is my birthday but I've decided not to celebrate such a crappy year. Thank you for your good wishes though I do appreciate them!

How about celebrating the great year that will be ahead of you? I know it's hard right now, but my user name is Verthandi for a reason. She is the keeper of the "here and now", she reminds me to live each day. I hope tomorrow brings you a special surprise. It might be as simple as a long forgotten song that brings a smile to your face, a rainbow over a field or a grin from one of your students that adore you.

Happy birthday and do celebrate, life will get better just keep a positive attitude that is what helps me keep my spirits up.

Writer, I'm sorry you are having such a bad year. I know from experience that many times it is hard to look on the bright side. Each year that the buying power of my pension gets less and at the current rate of decline I will need to die in about three more years. The pity pot gets deeper and deeper. Then I go to visit my aunt, who is lying in a fetal position from a severe stroke, and she tells me "isn't this a beautiful day"? Very quickly I am reminded that if I'm able to walk and really shouldn't complain. I hope the remainder of your year improves and I'm glad you have been able to have another birthday.

That is exactly why I've tried to be more positive, I'm alive, I can walk, breath, etc,, others deserve a lot more than I do.

Happy birthday!
I was afraid I would forget.
but I didn't.

So, maybe times are tough, and maybe you do not feel like celebrating, and maybe it did fall on a Monday...
HOWEVER, I would try to make this a first day of the rest of your life day. Go get a milk shake after school and enjoy every sip. Don't let unhappy thoughts enter your head. Be in the milk shake moment.
and have a Happy Birthday!!

Our lives changed dramatically and it took some getting used to. It is different now, and difficult, but it is still good. Look towards the good. If the depression starts to get to be too much, please do not feel ashamed or afraid to go see your doctor. And take your vitamins! B12 ...actually most all of the B vitamins will help with depression. That and an occasional well deserved milk shake.

You aren't alone.
