1 Chronicles 15 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the horn, with trumpets, with loud-sounding cymbals, with harps and lyres.
29 It happened when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

1 Chronicles 15 King James Version (KJV)
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29 And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him
I hear what you are sayin… but dancing back then doesn’t mean the same today… it meant rejoicing and jumping for joy… not flinging your bod to the backbeat of music…it was a very sacred and special time for Israel.

So you think that a newborn baby who dies right after birth will not go to Heaven? Jesus said the children were innocent. Does the Catholic Church still refuse to bury them in the Catholic cemetery? The Baptisms in the Bible were full emersion, not sprinkles, so I don't think those infant Baptisms even count. A person has to be of responsible age to fully accept Jesus. I think Baptism should be done, yes, but I bet there are more than a few soldiers who accepted Jesus and died on the battle field that are right now sitting at the Lord's feet.
right on!

you are changing the Bible to meet your definitions

Revelation 22 King James Version (KJV)
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in
I am not I am reading into the context…I am not addi ng or bending it.Exodus 32:6, 19-25—This is a disappointing part of Israel's history. While Moses was up on the mountain talking to God, the Israelites built an idol. In the process of the idol worship, they began to dance. This ended up in "revelry" (v. 6) and being "out of control" (v.25 says "naked" in some translations). In this case, dancing led to very sinful activity… this is the bad kind…when it is out of control and sinful. But the Bible also says this…
Exodus 15:20 Miriam was dancing to celebrate the victory God's power had brought at the Red Sea. Second Samuel 6:12-16—David "danced before the Lord" to celebrate the Ark of the Covenant being brought back to Jerusalem. This dancing is to celebrate.
Every instance of dancing that is not considered sinful was done in worship or praise to God. Here are some more principles to keep in mind in considering dancing:
Ecclesiastes 3:4—There is an appropriate time to dance (and, by implication, an inappropriate time to dance). Psalm 149:3; 150:4—Both passages mention that we can praise or worship God through dance. First Corinthians 6:19-20—Our bodies belong to God, and they are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So everything we do must be honoring to Him.

Quote: Matthew 23:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

Well...religion has caused many problems in history it has killed millions of people...but I do not do religion... I have a relationship with God...I am Baptist denomination which is the one true denomination it was the first one... Jesus started the church... and it was Baptist... but if I wasn't a Baptist I am a Bib-list...(not sure that is spelled correctly) but I believe the Bible... all the other denominations are johnny come lately's. The Catholic church says Peter was the first pope...well we know that isn't true because he said silver and gold have I none ...lol..the Catholic church believes in work salvation... it is impossible to work yourself to heaven... they also have killed hundreds of millions of baptist over the years
I beg to differ in that statement. Also what do you mean by "work salvation"?

Origin and meaning of Religion: Religion comes from the Latin verb religare which means "to bind".

By religion, then, we are bound to God. Religion implies first a Supreme Being having sovereign sway over men and directing their destines; it implies secondly that man, recognizing the existences of such a Being and feeling the need of His powerful help, freely subjects himself to Him and manifests that subjection by acts of homage and love, that is, by worship. When we do this habitually, we possess the virtue of religion. Religion as a virtue is, therefore, a quality of mind and heart which inclines us to pay God the worship due to Him.

What are you trying to say.look I will defend my position... the Bible... and how does this have anything to do with dancing... this is speaking of religious men...who are hypocrites and leading people to hell... the Pope, priests, many people who are famous in the "christian" world are false prophets.

@Nyfarmer30802

your posts do not seem to have the meekness required in the 1 Peter verse quoted below or any of the fruit in the second verse

1 Peter 3 King James Version (KJV)
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

What?

work salvation- the process of working your way to heaven/salvation... the catholic church says you have to be baptized... and it isn't being baptized it is being sprinkled on the forehead ... baptism is being fully immersed....The original meaning is not what it means now... look it up...the catholic church burned Bibles... killed hundred of millions of baptist ... also look up pedophilia in the Catholic church... it is running rampid... wherever you find idolatry u will find immorality... the catholic church says there are 7 sacrements... there are only two...on baptism to become a member of your local church. this happens once... if you r truly saved... two the Lord's supper is to reflect on what God has done for you...sending his son to die for your sins
