prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

I think we all just need to calm down and take a step back. We all have our beliefs and I don't think we're ever going to convince each other otherwise. But we need to look at bigger picture here. GOD. We all follow Him or els we wouldn't be on this thread. And you say you don't follow a religion, just have a relationship with God, but Baptist and all these rules or beliefs ARE religion. And I think everyone on here has one too, maybe not, idk. But we all follow God and that's the bigger picture. And the Bible can be interpreted differently depending on who's reading it and how, as we have clearly seen here, and yes even if your both reading KJV. So I think we all need to step back and realize we're all following the same God. And we all chose to do that. And I don't think that God or Jesus would want us to get so completely hung up on subtleties and attack each other. He would want us to band together and all follow Him. And in fact, I'm pretty sure this division and trying to split up God's people/telling the others they're not good enough is EXACTLY what the Devil would want.... just remember that... we're all God's people no matter how we choose to worship Him and we need to start acting like it. Band together and worship together and stop fighting and attacking. We could have chosen another religion, a truly false one, or NO religion at all like some sad people in this world, but we didn't. We all chose GOD and JESUS and the TRUTH and that is saying something. I think we're all welcome on this thread but this hostile attitude from both sides has got to go. We need to start LOVING each other. And this is honestly part of why so many people get driven away. Cause there's such hostility and pressure to be so perfect and exactly right. Just worship God. And tbh hate and judgement is a sin too you know.... as are many other things I'm sure all of us probably do. We would all do well to remember that next time we go to attack or speak in anger. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

never said it was a church... and I respect ya'll opinions but I disagree with them...not all but a good amount of them...yeah debate...i didnt have another word..

Matthew 4:1-4

I wanted to share my daily Lenten bible verse of the day

Love it. Fitting for the season!

We studied Luke 23:1-7... Different forms of rejection....

Sir, with all due respect, that is actually what we are doing here.... But I wouldn't use the word "debate"...

It's a " prayer thread"... We pray for each other, learn from each other, support each other...

We learn about each others differences in mutual respect. Sure, we have disagreed before. We also can agree to disagree and have respect for each others different points on our respective paths of spiritual maturity.

We share a love for Jesus. We are not, and have never claimed to be, A church. But a gathering of believers that have a love for His Word.

I pray for peace here, on the Lord's day. We can learn and grow by loving each other and helping each other grow. :)

:) :hugs

Well said SG

Baptism is what you do after you are saved... read the context on these verses.... Mark 16:25-16... He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. you must believe to be saved... not be baptized. baptism is what you will do after you get saved. next verse... you must repent first an then be baptized.the next verse is of a false translation.21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: this is the real 1 pet.3:21 it is the answer of good conscience to God.. baptism is for becoming a member of a new testament Bible believing church.
You seem to have forgotten that little word and in Mark 16:15-16. Your 'preferred' translation whereunto even baptism doth also now save us proves you wrong.

There are 5 steps to be saved:

Hear: John 6:45, Rom. 10:14
Believe: Heb. 11:6, Rom. 16:26, Gal. 5:6
Repent: Acts 2:38, 26:20, 2 Cor. 7:9-10
Confess: 1 Tim. 6:12, Acts 8:35-38, Luke 12:8 (before men)
Baptize: Acts 10:48, 2:38, Mark 16:16, 1 Pet. 3:21

Acts is a great book of conversions:
2:32-41
8:26-29
Ch. 10

I believe what God wrote, not man.
