I have a daughter in law that has serious tummy problems if she doesn't eat right. ... Chickens. Love them! Just a back yard hobby for me. 10 years. I miss them, but, my hubby was diagnosed with Alzheimer's the first part of the year. Been pretty busy getting some things in order, testing on this and that. Our pups are something he enjoys,...more than chickens. I'm going to miss hatching. That was a lot of fun. Loved my eggs. Bought my first store bought eggs..yellow yolks! I had forgotten how nice and orange mine were... and, more yummy. How old is your dog now? It's so hard to see them go downhill. Teeth going bad is one of the first. The guy put down at the first of the year had 8 teeth pulled. He was riddled with tumors..not cancer, but he had them invading serious areas. The little girl that was put down as few months back, had serious bowel problems, and was becoming paralyzed in her back legs. It's so hard when you give them the treatment recommended by the vet, think..yaay..its working..only to have them get worse a month later. I'm older. Have been through a few dogs. As always hard to lose them. :(

Yeah, I guess the smart and best solution would be to just eat healthy all the time but not always easy haha and aw I'm sorry to hear that :hugs probably easier to stick with one hobby/animal though. But yes, store eggs are definitely way different! The difference is amazing. Mine haven't been laying for a while so I've been having to eat store eggs. :sick one of my hens started molting in August. others followed soon after but I was still getting two eggs then one then none. I've been getting none since idk, September or October? I guess that's not that long but seems like forever. They normally molt faster and/or lay sooner after. But I guess they are getting older (turned 3 last month). And he's only 7 (well, will be 7 in March) but he is a big dog. Half Great Pyrenees. Other half black Lab. And like 140+ pounds, probably a bit overweight. Hard to exercise him now. And I didn't realize teeth went. Don't know if his is teeth or jaws. Forgot to mention he also has myositis :( besides the muscle loss on his head, it's also been causing immune issues, and they say jaws go next. He's starting to have some issues with chewing. He still can but he doesn't like/can't chew hoofs/bully sticks/toys anymore, and sometimes takes slightly longer to chew some food. So his issues might be his disease rather than age but it still stinks seeing him decline. And aw I'm sorry. Those both sound like rough situations and rough losses :(
