This is what Christmas means to me. Christ being born. His life on earth. His example. His Atonement for us. All together, His life shows us while we are here on earth, in just a speck of time, how we should be. How we should love. How we should serve. And, we do it all ~ for Him. He needs us to help Him in service. We need Him in our lives to be able to do what is right.

Hi, I haven’t posted on this thread before, but could you please pray for my/my dad’s army veteran friend? He stepped on a land mine when he was in the service (this was many years ago) and lost his arm and is mostly deaf in both ears. He has always had trouble, between toe amputations, covid, dizziness (ear issue), among other things. He has been doing ok lately after recovering from Covid. A while ago he got a Cochlear implant in one of his ears and it has significantly improved his hearing. He is going into the hospital Thursday to get one in his other ear. I know that probably isn’t a big deal, but I am still worried about him since he has had so much trouble lately, and this seems like the worst time possible to go to the hospital. Anyways, that‘s my story. Thank you everyone, God bless!

Sorry I am not faithful to post a Scripture every day, but I liked this one tonight:

I know this is a bit late (I stopped getting notifications for this thread again), but I was gonna say that I just finished reading Romans!
I love that verse as well!

I try to read the Bible every single day. I make it a goal to read the Bible twice each year. I've successfully done that in 2019, 2020, and hopefully this year. I actually pay attention to His Word. I take time out of my day to read His Word, whether it be early morning or late at night. I try to force myself. I get mad at myself if I have ANY excuse at all not to read the Bible.

Twice in one year comes out to about 6 or 7 chapters a day, so it's not as much as people might think. I also write down notes and questions I have while reading in a journal.

ETA: I said I just finished Romans, but it was actually when the message I quoted was posted. I just didn't want people to get confused.

I really wish I could help people like that too! I have been looking into volunteering for some kids with disabilities, but the one near our house actually has a age minimum.

But anyways, he sounds like an amazing man, I would never be able to do half of what he is done! Super inspiring. I hope his hearing does get better and go smoothly!
