prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

I looked back to see if I had already asked yall this and didn't see it so here goes...

We have been a disobedient race since Adam and Eve...but I think there is a difference between disobedience and rebellion.
I want yalls thoughts and input here as this is something I have been pondering the past few weeks and trying to get to the root of the problem in my own heart.
Disobedience much like Jonah when God told him to go to Nineveh but Jonah didn't believe the people deserved God's mercy...so he went the opposite direction.
I feel Rebellion has much deeper heart issues at root. I'm trying to grasp what those roots truly are.... is it PRIDE? 🤔
For example if there is a sign that says "wet paint" I will intentionally touch it cause I don't believe it is wet paint... the sign just got left up. Much like the construction work signs on the interstates...they get left up and half the time no construction is in sight!
Is that PRIDE that causes me to be so rebellious? These are just a couple examples in my own personal life but would love yalls opinions and thoughts as God lays em on your hearts to share!

REBEL'LION, noun [Latin rebellio. among the Romans, rebellion was originally a revolt or open resistance to their government by nations that had been subdued in war. It was a renewed war.]

Insurrection may be a rising in opposition to a particular act or law, without a design to renounce wholly all subjection to the government. To clarify, Jonah ran from God’s directive out of fear of death. Prophets were known to be persecuted and executed if the leaders & people didn’t like what was being said. They were not often the bearer or happy news!

And… we are to follow man’s laws, unless to do so goes against God’s laws…
So, even though paint signs or some road signs might not be “law”, it’s still a cautionary directive from man.

One more definition:

DISOBEDIENCE, noun [dis and obedience.]

1. Neglect or refusal to obey; violation of a command or prohibition; the omission of that which is commanded to be done, or the doing of that which is forbid; breach of duty prescribed by authority.

2. Non-compliance.

On a totally different subject , I’d like to share a study I am working on. This is a unfinished work…. Any thoughts so far? It’s basically the history of the modern Bible.

But I thought the reason he ran was because he knew God would forgive them and have mercy on them and he didn't think they deserved that... so he chose not to go.

Thank you for the definitions...I hadn't thought bout it from that standpoint! I will definitely dig deeper into these as I pray n study!
