Thank you. Your faithfulness is inspiring. I hope your elbow is improving.praying for all requests in Jesus name amen
Dad is having a stent put in on Friday. Doctor said it's risky but, if one's not put in, he will most certainly have another stroke. I'm packing right now and I'm going to leave to go up there. Please pray for the doctors to have wisdom and for healing, as well as a safe trip for me and the kids.Thank you for everyone and the prayers. An update:
Mom took him back to the hospital this morning since he showed no improvement overnight. CT scan revealed he had a stroke. Hospital decided to admit him due to blood clots left in the arteries of his vertebrae. I'm hoping it will be a quick stay once they get the clots under control.
My dad and I are close and this is just tearing me up. It's been nice to have byc as a distraction.
Makes absolute perfect sense and can soooooo relate!
Welcome to the thread and thank you for sharing your heart with us! It is beautiful!!!
You're absolutely correct!! I miss fellowship! We will be finding a church soon enough!I get it, too! Sometimes we need to quit "doing church" and just "come ye yourselves apart and rest awhile." In order to find that wonderful relationship with Him. But He also said, "Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together." There is a real blessing in fellowship.. Hope you find that blessed balance!![]()
Praying for your family friend! That the doctors get this balancing act right!!!From the family friend.
He’s in his kid 40s so still very young.
This is from last night:

Praying for you!!! Hope you're on your way with healing! Any update on your elbow? Please pray for me. I burned my elbow quite badly tonight. (Brushes up against 450 degree cast iron) Please pray that it doesn’t get infected and that I can function at work on Monday. It’s a 3 day wait at urgent care and 12+ hours at the ER because of how many people are sick in my area right now so if it gets infected it’s going to be hard to get treatment.
Praying for your father! Please keep my father in your prayers. He fainted at the pharmacy a few days ago and took a huge gash in the forehead, as well as a bruise bad enough to his hand that they had to cut off his wedding ring. He needed 15 stitches in his head for the gash. He had a couple tests done but they haven't figured out what happened. I'm the only one in my family who lives out of state so I've been relying on my mom and sisters to keep me updated.
Heard today that he's using a walker because his legs and feet are swollen and he's having trouble getting around! I'm very concerned. He's always been am active and healthy guy. I can't even imagine him using a walker.
Please pray for his healing. His name is Paul.
This made me chuckle!I have a story that I hope will lighten things up. In New Orleans, if you have trouble selling your house, you bury a St Joseph Stature (upside-down ) in your front yard.
A man puts his house up for sale. After waiting and the house still not selling, he goes to the Catholic Book Store and buys a small St. Joseph statue. He buries the statue in the front yard, drops to his knees and prays for his house to sell. Every morning, when he wakes, he kneels and prays for his house to sell. This continues for a month and the man becomes irritated and decides that St. Joseph in the front yard is an old wives tale. So he digs the statue up and throws it in the garbage can.
2 days later he and his wife get up, she makes coffee and he goes to the front yard to get the morning paper. He settles comfortably and takes a mouthful of coffee and opens his paper. Suddenly he spits coffee all over the kitchen. "Fred!" his wife says, "What is the matter with you?" Fred, white as a ghost says," Inez, the city sold the dump."
Please be careful with the amount of Tylenol you are taking. As a RN I have seen people who took Tylenol as directed on the box for more than a few days and gone into liver failure (they DID NOT drink). Can you use any other OTC pain relief and switch them out every other day or every few days?Thank you
My right elbow is improving
Thank you Jesus
Most days I am able to use my right hand to eat and / or brush my teeth
And a lot of the time my hand writing is hard to read
And sometimes I can reach up and wash the right side of my hair
I am so thankful that I have not had a pain prescription since August (but I’m still taking Tylenol around the clock )
Thank you Lord
I was a Cath Lab RN before retiring, all procedures come with some risk. However a stint is usually pretty straight forward. Have your Dad ask the staff to pray with him before the procedure. Most staff will. Also you and your Dad and family will remain in my prayers today through Friday. Please let me how the procedure turns out.Dad is having a stent put in on Friday.
