I understand a few things from being a donor to a shelter for battered women. I don't know it's location other than somewhere near here. They protect the ladies at all cost. It's so hard to understand how men can so abuse women that they should be protecting.
I'm so sorry. This must be so hard on you. But God does hear your prayers for your sister. I will add prayers for your comfort and, as Jesus prayed for Peter, that your faith remain strong.
She's got to be willing to make the break. After one failed attempt to leave, I fear it will only be harder to be successful.
I know it's possible. I know God can work miracles. I continue to pray. I just hate to know she's going through this without our family to be able to help and support her.
One never knows, perhaps this is what it takes to make her willing to reach out to her family in spite of him. Pray, pray, pray that God gives her courage not only to fight the cancer but to do whatever is necessary to take care of herself.
