prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Alright, well hello there!
I am a young adult, and have been raised in protestant baptist churches my whole life. I am currently exploring Orthodoxy, which is something that came up once a while ago in my family as my father delved into theology in a search for truth. It's now been introduced to me more personally, as my boyfriend is a Greek Orthodox Christian(who was also raised protestant). He is fantastic at answering my thoughts and questions, and I've been able to learn so much from him.
I was baptized by my own decision when I turned fourteen, and have been growing in Christ ever since. I, of course, hope to continue growing and I am always eager to see what God has for me next.

Well, welcome once again, very nice to meet you! May God bless your journey. Your story is fascinating to me, because I recently met a youngish man whose story is very similar to yours! He was here the other day servicing my A/C and like you, he was raised Baptist but has recently converted to Oryhodoxy along with his wife! How amazing is that. I guess Orthodoxy is "having a moment." 😊

Glad you joined us here!

My story is the opposite: I was raised "casually Episcopalian" (go to church twice a year) but was born again at age 40. My husband was raised Roman Catholic, he got saved at 41, too. We are members of a small (50 adult members) independent Baptist church. I love singing the old hymns.

Here's one of my favorites:
