prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Please remember my friend, Gina, in your prayers. Her husband passed away today. Sudden heart attack. Please remember the family, as well.
He was a teacher at our local Christian school. Taught two of my now-grown children. It’s a shock, but so thankful he is with our Lord.

Praying for peace and comfort

I appreciate you guys' continued prayers. My leg is going to be weeks, maybe months, healing and I don't know yet if surgery will be required. My prayer need continues to be for peace, as being virtually immobile is challenging for me. I'm doing pretty well in this regard though, and I know it's in answer to all your prayers in my behalf. I want to be willing to submit to God's will for my life at this time and put this time to good use. There's so little I can actually DO, so I'm dedicating this time to prayer ministry for people whose challenges are so much more serious than mine.

praying. I hope surgery will not be required.

Thank you so much for the prayers.
His death is a shock.
He was in seemingly good health and taught the PE classes at school.
He touched many lives as a teacher.
These stories are hard to take - hurts the heart. Praying for peace for the family; all those kids are also affected.

Our grandson's soccer referee, only 25 year old, knelt down in the middle of the game and suddenly keeled over - sudden heart attack. A parent watching administered CPR; he was not breathing on his own when departing in an ambulance. So young. So healthy. The kids were badly shaken by the experience.

It's easy for us to question why and how these things happen. Times like these we must trust in our Savior as He directs all outcomes. He has a master plan and we are but one tiny thread in the tapestry of life. One life impacts so many others. Absences are strongly felt. Lean on God for strength as only He can bring comfort in times of distress.

Thanks, cgr! :hugs I'm okay with surgery if that alleviates the pain and gets me back on my feet. What I'm hoping for is not to be laid up for months and months. But truly, whatever God plans for me is okay, I trust Him. He knows what's best.

Favorite Scripture today:

Acts 1:11 KJV
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Such good news! Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 1:7 KJV
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
