Prayers desperately needed for my father in law (Updated POST #45)

not yet. last night we were waiting to hear if he had a blood clot or not. he doesnt. Praise the Lord!!!

But now, I am faced with someone being upset with me, because i posted this as my status on facebook "Please pray for my father in law. He had just gotten out of ICU a few days ago, but now he is back in there because his lungs are failing and he is now on a ventilator and is sedated again...

" they told me i shouldnt be posting the familys business on the internet. I simply said "The power of prayer does wonderous things. Thats how miracles happen"..... and i got a message back saying "Lisa. Dont."

Now, i am not only upset because this is happening, but now I have one of the family members mad at me? ?? ?

My family was in a similar situation recently. My aunt was terminally ill. She has since passed away. She had some very young grandchildren that often visited relatives through facebook. It was upsetting to my cousins when they learned that their children and grandchildren had read shocking updates about their grandmother that the parents had intended to break to them gently. Perhaps that is the case here.

Thanks for the prayers

All the grandkids are not old enough to have a facebook (4 years and younger). His children are all 20 years old and up. He is a man about 60 years of age. I feel like i did something wrong, but is asking friends to pray for a family member wrong? You be the judge.

Thanks again for all the prayers! I'm waiting until tonight for an update!

If there are no young children involved, I wouldn't worry about it. I only posted about my experience because my cousins' young ones read online on a family member's facebook page that their grandmother was doing badly and suffering greatly with only days to live. The parents had intended to break it to them gently.

Just got word that he is doing very well, and is no longer sedated. He is only on 1 pain killer a day and soon he'll be out of ICU.
Thank you all so much! Keep praying for a full recovery!

Can't please everyone. You followed your heart and that's what matters.
