Prayers for my pregnant sister! UPDATE! Baby born!

I don't think anyone meant to defame the OP. But there is obviously some facts missing or misunderstood in the reported circumstances because as it is reported, as those in the medical community reaize, the reported circumstances alone should not add up to a problem. But we all are concerned and offer our prayers when there are any difficulties.

A few months ago, I posted about my pregnant sister. Well, we are weeks away from her due date, and she has a massive ovarian cyst that is causing equally massive pain. The cyst is pressing on the baby, so she is being induced early, in 10 days. She will be 39 weeks along, though the baby is small. There is a risk of respiratory, digestive, and mental issues if she goes early, but the doctor won't risk holding on too long in case the cyst bursts. So please, PLEASE, pray for a very healthy baby!!! This is my niece, my goddaughter, and I'll be a primary caregiver while my (unmarried) sis is at work. Thank you!

I was born 9 weeks early, and was 3 pounds 11 oz. She'll be ok :). I was born with a 0 Apgar (dead), and was resuscitated. If I made it without problems, I'm sure she will, too

This has been a very difficult pregnancy. Zoe has been in and out of the hospital, still has terrible morning sickness, and, of course, the grapefruit-sized cyst. She's also a recovering anorexic, she had anorexia/bulimia all through her teen years (she is 20,) so her body is still fragile. In fact, it took this pregnancy to finally jump start her eating healthy again, when she wasn't morning sick. There's a lot of factors to deal with, and the doctors know this.

oh wow. I'm so sorry

My sister managed to secure some wiggle room. If she's dilated enough by her doctors appointment Friday, they will induce her on Wednesdsay (one week!) if not, she'll go in to the doctors office every few days until she is dilated enough for labor. Keep those prayers coming! :)

Oh I was tearing up reading this thread! So glad to get to the end and hear that she's going in tomorrow. Complications are complications and are scary, no matter what size the baby is or how long gestation was. My 3rd was born at 37 wks, after an easy pregnancy, at 7lb2oz and spent a week in the NICU and needed a blood transfusion - so scary! Good thoughts are being sent Zoe's way!
