Poor Thor. He's being such a good boy. Stands very still so I can pick him to help him out of the coop in the morning and again at night for me to put him a roost.

He's not doing much walking around. He's pretty much staying in the chicken yard, while his girls free range nearby.

Hoping him resting it some is gonna help.

Thanks.
I dunno if Thor likes attention or not. He's a respectful roo, but would prefer I keep my distance.

Wow, I cannot believe I havent seen this thread. I Have an idea. Last year my rooster was limping SO BAD that i was thinking of putting him down. This was the time of the year most of the hens were broody, so he wasn't exercising as much. Turns out, his toenails grew so long he couldn't comfortably walk on them. The minute i cut them, he was back to normal.

So my idea....have you looked at his nails?

Best of luck, and Happy Holidays

Yeah, thanks for the tips but I have checked his nails.

Thor is still limping some; really no better, no worse. However he was mating hens yesterday. He had stopped for a few days, so I guess that's a good sign. He must not be in as much pain.
