I just got word from my sister last night that I have a new 2nd nephew that was born new years eve. He is considered a preemie, I don't remember when the due date was though.
His lungs are not fully developed so he is not getting enough air through them. Her DS & DIL were told that if he had been born in two weeks , he would have been fine. He gets agitated when anyone touches him or he hears noises.
So they have not even been able to hold or touch him. They have cotton in his ears to block out the noises to help keep him calm. The parents tried to change his diaper yesterday morning and his heart almost stopped! the drs. said that if he can make it through this he will be fine and have no residual effects.
He is on oxygen and a feeding tube. He can't go home until he is feeding, going to the bathroom and can be held without anything happening.
I am asking for prayers to help pull this little guy Justin through.
