Prayers please?

We don't have Wi-Fi, we have lost electric before and still could access the web. Jason DOES have a cell phone, too, so that problem is solved also.

Um, cell phone!

Nope-we have the "old-fashioned kind" not a smart phone.

My advice? ALWAYS have a land line phone.. always..
NOT the kind that you can carry around the house with you that depends on electricity,(they typical cordless type)
But, a real phone with a cord, JUST hooked into a phone jack. No electricity needed..
its come in real handy for us several times when we lost electricity...

Where can you find a decent one? It seems any of the ones we've tried have been so scratchy and full of static that you can't hear anything. I have noticed that the ones with cords are very hard to find!

I know..but they do save yur tush when the electricity goes out and you dont have a cell phone handy to make calls....
I'd try Walmart... they have everything.

That's where I have looked. I had bought one, but we got rid of it because it was so loud! You couldn't hear anything on the other end.

Prayers for you!Hope you and the kids will be ok,and your dh too. My dh is a trucker too but goes all over the country.

For next time maybe you can get a phone with minutes to just use for emergencies. Do you have emails for the neighbors? From my experience last week with no heat in 0-14 degree temps(4 days total) I noticed it dropped about 10 degrees per day.We lived under the blankets.

Hope it all passes for you. I heard the rain this am.Got gas if the electric goes and some wood to burn. And ofcourse all our blankets.

Keep safe and hope your dh is home early!

Glad he is going home.Dh's company always tells the drivers to shut down if they don't feel safe driving. I know the loads have delivery times, but your dh is right-Not worth the risk.

I know if dh got in an accident the company would say,"Well why were you driving in such bad weather?Preventable accident -your fired."Lol everything is preventable to the company
