Prayers Requested: UPDATE!!

Adam is adorable!
My granddaughter once fell and broke her nose - it healed incorrectly and later they had to re-break & re-set it. She came through the surgery great and has not had any problems with it since. I pray that Adam also comes through his arm surgery great and has no further problems with it. Children are amazingly resilient!

My youngest DD (now 18), had a similar injury at about his age. Monkey bars. We were out of town when it happened, and the emergency room there also wouldn't cast it. We had to drive home, six hours, the next day, with her arm in a sling, and DH trying not to hit every pothole between PA and VA.

She had a lovely lime green cast, which everyone she met was required to sign, or draw a picture on. Thinking about it, that might have been the beginning of her lifelong love of Sharpies!

Hoping for a similarly speedy recovery for your little guy!

Thank you so much for the prayers and adorable stories shared of your children in similar situations.
We are a little nervous about tomorrow as this is the first time either of our children have had an
injury that required surgery. I will post updates tomorrow as soon as I can.

Thanks, you all are the BEST

The second break hurts worse, but it's worth it to heal right. With all the love and attention from his family and the prayers from all of us he'll come through with flying colors. It's going to be harder on you than him, so I'll pray a little more for you!

Thank you so much I appreciate that. I am very nervous, he is as happy as can be sitting on his bed playing with the toys
and books that some of his friends have brought over to help him feel better. Things like this are always harder for mom.

Thanks Again.

You are welcome, I've been there and done that with my own and with myself. It's so hard to see our kids suffer especially when we know what they are going through. You guys will do great!

Hi All,

Adam has his surgery this morning. He is doing well, does not appear to be in any discomfort at the moment.
He was a star, the nurses said that he talked their heads off before and after he woke up after surgery.

He will be in a splint for another week, then a cast can be put on his arm, at which case I will feel much better.

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

I will post a pic of him after he wakes up from his nap.
