Man, I'm trying to pair up my cochins for breeding season, but I want to have the right daddy!
I have not been careful enough about who mates with who, and I also had a stray rooster join in a couple weeks ago.
If I incubate now, no telling what I will have. It seems like its taking forever to purify them again!
It's weird cause most folks here are hoping for fertile eggs.

Ive heard a hen can hold the roos "stuff" for a few weeks so hopefully they are almost done for you...

The hen holds the sperm for about five eggs. the first one laid after the deed is done is not fertil but for about five eggs after they are.

I believe a hen can hold sperm for up to 3 weeks, so you may have a bit of a wait.
