Pre-crowing?

One of my six week old Polish chicks is not really crowing yet but I've heard it make these weird sounds that are very different than normal peeping. I am suspecting it's a cockerel but not sure. Sounds almost sound like a parrot squawking. Do you think that the rooster learning to crow?
