I'm candling and cataloging a couple different kinds of quail eggs and I have some questions about pre-incubation quail air sacs.

The eggs have rested about 24 hours with the pointy side down. So far, I've completed Candling 13 Celadon eggs and I've noticed a lot of odd shaped air sacs.

If an air sac moves, would it leave a trail everywhere it's lived or do I just have oddball shaped air sacs from here on out?

Can you post some photos candling with the light on the bottom side?
And maybe shoot the photos from the side, not the top?
I would, but I just set them all.

I'm planning on starting turning tomorrow afternoon and candling next week. I'll take better photos then.

I used a 90,000 lumen LED flashlight and a 1/4 piece of plywood with a 1/2" hole drilled and sanded smooth in the middle

Ughhh.
Just set them and :fl.

I had some jacked up air cells once and I was sure that none were going to hatch and guess what... Every single one of them hatched.

How are your eggs being turned?
Are you incubating them upright or are they laying on their side?

They are upright, pointy side down in a standalone turner. According to the sally sunshine shipped egg post, I wanna wait a bit before plugging it in and starting turning.
I've never read that.

I set my shipped quail eggs immediately...in my turner.
