Looks like it grabbed it by the wing and it's ripped open by the wing with the bone sticking out. Can it still be eaten?

I would be concerned about what attacked it.

How would you know that animal did not have something and transfer it to the chicken in the attack?

I would be concerned.

Depending on what predator is was it could be full of infection or toxins it's mouth or talons.

I would have to recommend to NOT eat it. But that's just my opinion.

Sorry for you loss.

why dont you cull him? If you want you can just chop the head like you were butching him for eating. Its more messy but quick and easy

I would only eat a bird if it was still alive after the attack and I knew what did it. Even then, you lose a lot. I butchered a couple of weeks ago after a dog attack. I ended up throwing away a lot, due to puncture wounds that I didn't even see until they were plucked.
