Predator proofing my windows - suggestions welcomed!

Ok, we are in a similar boat mine just has smaller windows.
I don't have a working mitre saw at the moment so i'm going to attach outside and cover with wooden accent pieces.
Won't be as nice, but it will work.
This is along the lines of what i'm looking at hiding things under.:)

Well, my original idea seems to have worked after all. I used 1 x 2's for the frame with metal corner brackets to hold it together and attached it to the inside of the coop wall with cabinet hinges, securing with two hooks. Seems secure enough as the hooks hold it pretty tight to the wall.

Your most recent pictures reveal a coop and run that is very close to ready. Great job methinks!
No chickies just yet. I have a very old (17.5yrs) dog who I keep thinking is going to leave us soon at which time I'd like to take a big holiday. Soooo, I'm debating. Do I get birds now and travel in the spring and hope I can find someone to chicken sit, or do I take a vacay either in the fall or the spring (depending on dog) and get chickens right after so I can enjoy them full time. Its a true dilemma. I'd like to have birds now, as I'm all set to go, but I also REALLY want a trip to Europe and this may be my only chance in the near future...
Did you go for the babies???
