Predator proofing perimeter from digging under

We tried a new predator digging guard this time instead of burying hardware cloth around the perimeter. Wire closet shelving with one edge cut off to expose prongs . Hammered it into the ground

surrounding the coop . Will be covering it up with landscaping .
Wala !
No more diggers getting the chicks !

Should work well. Spacing might be a little big for rats.

If that's the same wire shelf that I use around my coop and run, it should be 1/2" openings so fine against most rats.
