what are some ways to predator proof a chicken coop?

Steel hardware cloth instead of chicken wire. At least down low! Deer netting over the top to keep out hawks and owls. If you have a dog you can trust, that is a major plus!

You can see what I did to predator-proof my coop down near the end of my byc page. I made a covered run, installed a wire apron around the base of the coop and run and put hardware cloth up in the places were something could reach in and grab the chickens while they're sleeping.
