Predator Proofing

For hawks I would definitely suggest having a strong welded wire top on your run

They're locked away at night and there's no way for anything to get to them but what happens when they're let out to roam?

Oh, I was thinking you had an outdoor run for them to roam in. For something I've read on here, I'm nor entirely sure it works, is to put stuff down the girls cn dive under, and only they can fit into

About hawks... I'm covering what I can in the chicken run, but there are also two big trees in there and I'll be figuring out how to split whatever I use to work around them. My question is; Is the hawk danger them swooping in and grabbing or will they find a way in and eat them right in there, or possibly drag them out of a space? Sounds silly, but it occurred to me while erecting a top on how tight I would have to get it around the trees! Whatever comes in the run at night won't (hopefully) be able to get in the coop. I'm so paranoid that I have a 'coop within a coop'!

Hmm, if they can get in I'm sure they will. When whatever it was attacked my predators my chooks didn't have much protection, this time though, they're going to get everything!

anything shiny hanging in trees in your chicken yard will deter hawks , like pie pans ect,

HI, Got any ideas how to build a strong sturdy fence for cat and dog proofing my run
p.s does anyone from Australia know if brush tail possums are an issue with eating food.
