Predators Killing Chickens

Cell cam is only showing coons, but where the chicks went missing, we have had multiple people come inspect it and there is no where that anything could have came in at. The coop is solid.

Anything in arm's reach is fair game.

You're right! Once it gets its paws inside anything within arms reach is dying

Sounds like a raccoon if things are pried open. Things like skunk and weasel can squeeze in small holes. Setting up a game camera is your best option to see what's doing it.

Or a live trap and a .22

Did you kill the coons that you trapped? You need to kill them, not relocate.

I recently watched a skunk squeeze through a small gap in my bantam run, about an inch, and by the time I got my husband out there with the gun it had killed a young bird and was eating it. If I hadn't seen it, I would have woke up to dead birds, and no idea what happened.

So sorry, as you've seen, 1" is 1/2" too big! So many critters can get through 1' openings, and we found this out the hard way too.
