The Texas drought is causing havoc for wildlife therefore the same for poultry/fowl owners because of hungry predators. All my free range peas are enclosed for their own safety. I have 4 pens that are adjacent to each other 10 feet by 30 feet. They are 9 feet high with 20 feet of roosting logs. Question is what are the most adult birds I want to put in each pen. I have an opportunity to purchase 2 absolutely gorgeous 1 year old Black Shoulder peahens but will have to put them with the other birds. Hopefully we'll get rain soon to break this bad situation and some of my peas can go back to free ranging. Thanks.
