What are some predators willing to.. well murder goats? I'm getting some this summer and I wonder if any of those predators are in the area and how to prevent them

Coyotes are the biggest one in my area, my goats have to be locked in at night because coyotes have no issues coming right up to the barn.
I’ve heard of birds of prey going after (dwarf) goat kids, but fortunately I’ve never experienced it with my herd.

Bears, wolves, lynxes, eagles, and stray dogs, are all predators found in Sweden that can bring down a goat. I'm not sure how frequent any of the predators are but a tall sturdy fence should deter most. What type of goats are you getting?

The only thing in my area is eagles,
Wolves come and go but I've never seen one on my own, and same with lynxes
so I think I'm safe! They've never stepped on farm property. (We have sheep too and never had any problems w predators except for the occasinal fox taking lambs)
Goat breeds I'm not sure yet, I'd like nigerian dwarf goats but they're so small..

Good that coyotes don't exsist in sweden! ;)

If you already have sheep and nothing has hurt them, getting a few goats won't draw much more attention.

Nigerians are good. Are you looking for meat, milk, pets, or a combination?
