Prednisone making wry neck worse??

My 5 month old Lavender boy (Silkie) has had wry neck for at least 2 months. He was steady, but not getting better. I finally brought out the big guns- Prednisone. He's been on it for 4 day, and he's worse!! He's practically standing on his head. He's getting 2.5 milligrams twice a day. Plus his Poly vis sol,vit E and selenium.

I guess I will need to do the treatment with oregeno and stuff that is out there. But, I thought that Prednisone was the last resort.
As a matter of fact, I think he's worse than when he came down with it. Much more sleeping. I'm going to wean him off of it.
