Prefab coop

As much as I'd rather build I may have to order a prefab coop. No skills or time to build. I've been looking and looking and thing I'm down to two possibilities. I have four regular sized hens and one banty.

Id probably modify it by adding a floor to the bottom, perches, and nesting boxes on top. I like how ventilated it is for Louisiana summers.

Seems like enough space for everyone to have their own room! Lol. Is it practice for chickens?
I realize I'll have to add hardware, and tweak both of them to make them secure. The coop is for me to lock them up at night. During the day they have a huge enclosed chicken yard to roam.

I prefer the second one of the two but you are right that the first one is nice and open. I was looking at some of the other coops on that site and the Country Club coop is about the same price range and more simple design. Reinforce the bottom boards and add whells and it would be a great tractor coop as well!

Thank you for the feedback. I did also like the lg. country club. I guess I could cut some slits around the top and bottom, and cover with chicken wire for air flow. I'd hate to think of sitting in a stuffy box all night during Louisiana summers!
