Preferred bulk mealworms?!

Hey guys! I keep buying the big bag of mealworms from TSC for my duck but my hedgehog shares the mealworms too so they're getting eaten quicker and quicker! I have 2 local TSC stores, both 40 minutes away in opposite directions. I usually only like making the trip to get a large bag of feed and I hate having to go in between for worms. There's no bait stores or any other pet stores near me that sell them. I am super into fish and have been to EVERY pet store within a 100 mile radius within the past 6 months. I would like to buy bulk order of dried mealworms online. I want to buy BULK though because I go through a lot of worms and don't want to need them for a while. Buying random mealworms offline though isn't the safest, most appealing option in my head though so if anyone has any recommendations for mealworms that are healthy or that you trust, recommendations would be awesome! Thanks for the help everyone! (Just to make it clear I feed dried mealworms so they can't hurt the hedgie even tho the duck likes them dried or alive!)
Also what are your duckies favorite snacks? I want to introduce something new to Gil. She's tried greens, mealworms, quack snacks (an all flock snack from TSC), peas and she's trying corn for the first time today! I try to just feed snacks that I can prepare as a healthy treat for all the animals because I own a mini zoo that I bet no one on here even knows about! Maybe I'll make the link to "my flock" a little thread on my private zoo so everyone knows why I am always home with the duck. (cleaning animal pens is a day in, day out, all day kind of thing.) Anyways, thanks for the advice!
http://chubbymealworms.com I bought sixty lbs ( 4 15 lb bags) for $297.00 on Halloween Day. They had a 15% coupon so they were on sale. Nice heavy duty zip lock bags. I have 4 hens. I feed with 2 dishes in the morning. A handful of meal worms each. I weighed one of the bags today. 14.4 so they seem to go pretty far for me. And you can get them cheaper by setting up a subscription. And you get rewards etc for future purchases. Boy do they smell nice when I open the bag. I keep them in the house and just fill a gallon zip lock bag for daily use. Push the air out when you re zip them and they stay fresh. $4.95 a pound compare to what you are paying and gasoline and I think you will see they are cheaper even without the coupon.

ETA: Free shipping and the 60 lbs is still your best buy. $5.83/lb. Get on their mailing list ( e-mail) for discounts. I just got lucky on that Halloween deal. Also, they are gonna start having USA grown mealworms but much more $$$$. The one's now are coming from China. I messaged them about how much more $$$ they were for those of us on a fixed income (SS) and they said the price would probably come down once they start selling in bulk. I don't think they will get rid of their Chinese connection though.

someone help me out here I failed algebra in high school :lau
Is this right? I would be paying 320 dollars over time for the same amount buying 10 ounces at a time?

This is looking better and better for Amazon at 114 dollars for 25 pounds.

I never bought the mealworms from TSC because a lot of them are Made in China which worries me when it comes to pet food. Have you considered black soldier fly larvae? Could expand your choices, at least. I go through one bag of Grubblies per month, set up as subscription for auto-ship. I could probably find generic BSF for less or grow them fairly easily, but I'm not there yet.

You know we aren’t going to feel anything but jealous of you living in Hawaii .. right?

Don't be jealous ... Being that everything comes via boat, when the ocean gets rough, the shelves get very empty. Last week due to the holidays the stores were 4wks behinds receiving their shipments! Coming by air, it's very expensive. Those that have a hard time with humidity (me) life can get miserable. I was born & raised on the Big Island, left in 1997, returned in 2010 to care for my parents. Flying to visit my Grandkids gets very pricey and my daughter is in FL, very long flight. But there's alot of things I can do here I would never be able to get away with in the Mainland .... I live in a residential area have had meat rabbits, goat, pig, turkeys, geese, chickens, dogs & cats (not all at the same time), kept them maintained & clean, never got complaints from my neighbors.

Ok, let's try this .... $8/10oz =.80 per oz x 16 = $12.80 per pound
Amazon - $114 for 25lbs = $4.56 per pound
Post #31/WindingRoad/cChubbymealworms.com - 4 x 15lb for $297 = $4.95 per pound

Correct me if I'm wrong please ...

As far as my calculations you are spot on. More on ChubbyMealWorms. I got 3095 points for that order. That gives me 10% off my next order. Also they collect no sales tax from Maine yet. They list the states the do collect for. Free shipping. A lot of Amazon's are not. And Prime is overrated IMHO and I might discontinue it. I don't buy all that much from them. If you google "coupons for ChubbyMealWorms" you can find some. Also, alway use Honey for coupons or prices better somewhere else even on Amazon. BTW even without a discount 60lbs is cheaper than 66lbs I don't know why.

If you can estimate how long it will take you to use up your stash you can set up a subscription and save that way also. So set up say every 6 months. If you need sooner than change your time frame. You can do that as often as you need to. Never run out and save $$$ too. They smell so good I almost want to eat a handful myself. LOL.

With my 10% off of $349 I would save $34 making them $5.25/lb. Round figures here. But then when I order my next bulk I will get more rewards and go up on the % off. A win/win IMHO.

Will be checking out that site, thanks for sharing :hugs
Anything I order from Amazon must say "free shipping", won't buy into Prime ;)
Look it over good because there is a lot there. Make sure you sign up for the newsletter or whatever they call it. Check out the drop down menu up top for everything they do or have. They even sell T-shirts and they have sweepstakes free to enter. When I e-mailed them about the $$$ of USA mealworms they got back to me promptly I think that very day. And they explained their reasons to me, not just that's the way it is. KWIM. Also get HONEY. It's like ebates. It gives you all the coupons it finds. And will enter them before you complete you order. Let me see if I can find a link for that if you don't already have it.
