Preggers Goat Bellies =) New Pics Pg 3

Yeah, the week we got the does, we separated them to make sure no sicknesses...one of our little bucks would have eaten the fence down to get her...She just backed her little butt up to the fence and he did all he could to try! After a week, i told DH we might as well put them all in together and let him have at her!

They quit after about a week.

She has a BIG gut so more lucky we hope!!! LOL

She has RAPIDLY been getting bigger for the last couple weeks. Her udder is also growing by leaps and bounds. I originally thought Xmas or New Years baby or babies, not sure at all though, For some reason I have the feeling she may have a single. That is just a feeling though I have no idea how many other pregnancies she has had or how many kids each time. From the look of her udder though she has not had many, her teats and udder are still firm.

Any Guesses as to when she may kid?

Really, she does look big, but my friend has a Pygmy doe that is due any minute and she looks so much bigger than Annabelle, but Anna's udder is tighter. Whens she lays down she is ENORMOUS. Do you think she could have them by Xmas?

Ummm YEAH I'd say you have December babies in there (plural). You can't guage one doe to another. Just look at Emma, she barely looks preggers, but always has twins but Holly is huge and always has a single.

Have you been checking ligaments? How tight is her udder? You should notice a significant difference all of the sudden.

Hi Kate - you've always been so helpful on my Nigerian Goat thread. Here's a picture I just took of Confetti's udder. Any idea if she's close. Best guesstimate breeder and I could come up with would be end of December at earliest but from what I'm reading and pics of yours and others I'm seeing, I think it might be sooner. I also think she must have more than one baby in there. But like Prissy in Gone With the Wind......"Lordy, Lordy Miss Scarlett, I don't know nothing about birthing no babies."

I had guessed 1st week of January on your other thread...but gosh, who knows. How hard is her udder? Still kinda floppy? Any hard mammary tissue in there yet? Looks like she's going to have a pretty nice udder

I just got back from my friends house..Her Pygmy that was SOOO huge just had three adorable babies! All girls. The daddy is LaMancha so these are 1st generation Mini Manchas, Two have lamancha ears and one has Pygmy ears. These adorable babies are whole sisters to my goat My MiniMancha Olive. I will post pic tomorrow since I know how much you all love baby goatie pics. I guess thats why she was Enourmouse there were 3 babies in there!
I SOOO hope I Annabelle has December babies, I CANNOT wait to have goat babies!

Evidently, I have a long way to go, she is just big. and not milk at all. I got her caught and felt her tummy and she seemed to like that. But she had absolutely no milk.

She did fine when I got her, she tried to escape but I held her and talked to her and she just looked at me with those eyes asking what are you doing to me. When I got through checking her I let her stand there for a minute then I walked away from her so she did not need to run. She stood there and then ran over to the other 3 goats. She will get there where I can maul her without running.

That is the totally backwards way to make mini experimentals! Poor mom! Thank goodness she had trips, a single or twins might not have come out so easily!

Oh, yes..pics please
