I have a miniature wiener dog that is having her 1st litter of puppies. Super excited but also very afraid for her! She is 4 days away from her approximate due date and she hasn't formed much milk in her mammories, is this normal? I'm inexperienced when it comes to this, we had dogs have puppies when I was much younger but I don't remember much detail. I have been supplementing her with some cottage cheese and raw eggs for the last month, giving it to her every few days and we feed a high quality dog food.
(Pic is of her before she became pregnant)

I had no idea about the raw eggs, thank you for letting me know, I will defiately cook them from now on. Thank you for the milk advice, I was beginning to worry I needed to go get a milk suppliment, in the case I would ever need to do so, would goats milk be better than the stuff from Walmart or TSC?

Just wanna say be on the lookout for pups that are too big to pass, especially if she wasn't bred to the same size dog as her.

Mini pups often have scheduled c-sections as failure to birth a pup or it's placenta can result in death of the mama. And it happened to my mom's dog. Do you happen to have a vet that you work with?

Puppies are sweet! :love

She was bred to another mini, but I know risks are still there. Our vet is aware she is pregnant and on call if we need her. Though we are hoping and praying everything goes okay. I'm super excited to have puppies running around but I'm nervous for Mommas health and safety during this process. After this litter Momma and Daddy are going to be fixed
