For....guarding??? How do guardian instincts relate to mothering instincts?

All around instincts. They are are and older breed, and have a lot less "designer" in them.

Yes, they're an old, pure breed, but the mother is a puppy. That would be like me getting pregnant and having a child- there would be loads of complications, the child would be unhealthy, and it would just be all around healthy, and nobody involved would be happy.

Yes, they're an old, pure breed, but you may be thinking of dogs from...guess what...an experienced breeder! Not an unplanned breeding where the mother is still a puppy and the owner doesn't have experience.

I see what you are saying but just because she is under a year doesn't' mean she is going to kill all the pups (or any).

My girl dog is not territorial and doesn’t have really any guardian instincts unlike the boy dog.
