Stacykins: she's so cute! Kinda looks like she's wearing one of those winter hats. You know, with the flappy ear things? I'm not sure what the actual name for them is. Which is odd because I'm an avid deer hunter. I use one over a beanie during the cold winter months! Anywho, I think she's adorable. Sorry you had to let her go. It's not ever easy,is it?

. Like when I sold my young billy,Sawyer. I just sold him too. It was hard on me because we were tight.

Update: hi guys! No kids yet! But today I noticed her vulva was very open and loose and I can practically see inside her! Her tail is almost straight up all the time. Remember when I said she had a little tiny bit of fresh blood on her vulva? Well I think (just a theory) that, that was because her vulva was opening, because on that day that there was blood I noticed her vulva was getting puffy. And today it's even bigger. So do you think that my theory could be possible? I don't want to be open to the idea of aborted kids at all!!!!!! Because I once read that a lot of blood could be a sign of aborted kids. But it was just a drop soo:/ what do you guys think?

Julianna! Honey it's good to be observant and aware...but not to the point of freaking yourself out!!

I have no room to talk, though.

ok.....even a woman can have a bit of vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. Most don't,but but but some do. And whatever the reason,it does not automatically mean abortion.(miscarriage) You've got to calm down dear. Trust that the Lord is worthy of entrusting your precious doe in His care. I give all my animals to Him. For it is He who created them.

But, for your peace of mind, and now mine lol,I've contacted my livestock vet. Remember I told you he deals only with certain animals. And goats are his main one. He breeds and delivers kids and so on. I definitely trust his professional opinion. I'll let you know what he says asap. In the mean time,go out and talk to her,pet her and just love on her. She can sense your stress. Just enjoy her while she'll let you....her personality might change after kidding! God bless my friend!

Goats are funny. They don't read the books. It doesn't pay to get yourself in a swidget. Blood on the tail may mean something, and it may mean nothing at all except that she is maybe getting close. Maybe. With goats all bets are off. On the other hand, think of all the exercise you are getting going back and forth to the barn to check on her. Keep us posted as to what is going on. Inquiring minds want to know.

I do know the mucus plug is usually ropey and blood tinge, it means the cervix is dialating, if that is what you are seeing, and on the sides of the tail head will become hollow, and tail carriage will be altered.

...... Ok I've had a long talk with my Vet. Everything is completely normal.

So when kidding is super close, within 2 weeks, certain things happen. The sides sinking in is one of them. When they sink and fill back out and sink and so on,this is just kid movement. My doe is currently doing this and it drives me crazy! When her sides sink in and stay sunken in,this is the real deal. She might also have some pressure on her vaginal area, this can cause some of the signs you're seeing. Large opening and the little blood. In her case, this might be routine. She may do these things every time she's Prego. All does are different. As are women. If she was losing a large amount of blood, yes, time to be concerned. If she was miscarrying, she'd be in pain and it would be well obvious. But her personality is that of a content, yet very near kidding, doe.

Some does even have so much pressure that when they lay down, some internal vaginal tissue pops out.(usually due to multiples) As long as when she stands back up,it goes back in,all good. I also need to correct a previous post regarding vaccines and wormer. Ok so it's not bad to give her a wormer injection a month out,but then you'd want to do it again Afterwards. So now I will humble myself and say,it's best to give her this the day of or after kidding. The vaccine you want to give her 4-6 weeks prior,is the CDT. This is for prevention of an overeating disease. And then a booster the day of birth. I'll pm you with the correct doses for each of these. She's very close!!!! At least 2 weeks or less. Keep your eyes open.....you don't want to miss this! God bless.
