Pregnant goat???

Ok honey I talked to my Vet again.

So I think I said this earlier but can't remember. So I'll say again. Goats are herd animals. They have a distinct need and instinct to be with other goats. Delilah is lonely. She needs a friend or two.

Also, considering her hormone levels and mood swings,it's obvious she's frustrated and very close to birth. My Vet said all is well. Work on getting her a buddy. This would calm her down tremendously. She's ready to be done with this but her body isn't quite there yet. Much similar to women! How is she today? Again as I said in my PM,so sorry I took so long to respond.

Yea I've seen the other lil one. I meant a little bit bigger though. One she can play rough with, and not hurt!!! I'd love more pics! I'll send some too. How's Delilah? Oh and you're most welcome.

I understand:) I probably won't be able to get another one before she gives birth though. She seems fine though...
No stress or anything:) THanks soooo much!!!!!

Just a Quick update!!!!
So she's been taking FOREVER. It's like she's taking all of the signs of labor and stretching it out to her leisure. Her vulva has been really open for about two days, an do can practically see inside her! Her udder has filled but not a lot. Just noticeably bigger. So this is one of my concerns ( yes I have many lol)
When I bought her the lady said that she had all her" pregnancy shots" but it's been a month and I feel like I should give her. Could you guys tell me any medicine (vaccination, remedies, any type of shot or medicine) that I should give her right before she gives birth? Also where I could get it if possible:) thanks so much!!!

Alas I have no answers for you regarding goat vaccines safe for a very pregnant goat. I'm very new to the goat raising business. There are 12 Nigerian dwarfs who are boarded at my Mother-In-Law's house about 1 mile from where I live and we have taken it upon ourselves to look after them. Their owner only makes it out to see them for about 1 hour once or twice a week. At some point this summer she brought over a male for "Christmas Kids." Their pasture seems a little bare for them so my mother-in-law and I have been taking them out of the pasture, on the permission of the owner, to graze on the brush in another un-fenced pasture. Some of the girls look to be putting on weight, but from the little research I've done regarding goat pregnancies I realize that it is often difficult to tell a goat is pregnant until the last month or so of gestation.

All of the information about your pregnant girl and the various "signs" that labor is imminent is so helpful to me! I still think I've got at least 2 more months till we can reasonably expect to get babies.

Any photos of your preggers lady is so helpful but after reading this entire thread, I really REALLY can't wait to see baby pictures! Here are photos of my girls, just to tide readers over!

This is their pasture behind the fence. Are we right to worry about them getting enough to eat? Especially if they're knocked up???

Hey honey! I sent you a list of all the meds you need to give her. If they have no actual proof or exact dates for specific vaccines given, act as if she's had nothing and get her vaccinated! I'll resend you the meds in a pm.

Katherine, your goats are beautiful! Do you need some labor signs/tips??? I own goats and am on my 4th pregnancy already in a not even a year!!! I've got tons of knowledge I'd be willing to share.
