I would prefer to see judging to the standard entirely separate from judging on condition. Same judge can do both at the same time, but birds of equal conditioning would place the same regardless of how they fare against the standard (assuming that condition judging is on the European system (birds are judged against the standard, not each other, so it is possible for two birds to receive the same exact rating) versus American system where there is one 1st place, one 2nd place, etc.
