Preparing for fly pest season and need suggestions

Thanks for all the great ideas, guys.

Now that I am reminded of Spaulding labs, I recall knowing some folks a long time ago who swore by them, too..... but that was many years before I got chickens. Thanks for jogging my memory!

I didn't have a single inkling that you may have worked for Spaulding....you just sounded perfectly satisfied with the product. I would object also to the underhanded act of companies who prey on forums such as ours to push their products. Sorry you got nailed so quickly out of the chute. Hope you weren't offended to the point of not returning. This place really is the most helpful place ever when it comes to poultry.

I'm going to do some comparison shopping for predator fly control and see what comes up.

The sticky thingies were also on my mind. But chickens are certainly dusty creatures and I'm not sure how long they would be effective vs the expense and work to keep them fresh. I did notice they have some large sized ones 12x24", that could be helpful!

Mine filled up with flies in like a week, no time for the dust to get to them! lol

This place has always had a fly problem, before I had chickens. We used to blame it on the neighbors 3 dogs....this will be the first summer without the dogs so we'll see

I was just wondering, since your very first post was to endorse the company.

She endorsed the product, not the company.
