They have a lot of different machines -- which one are you using? If you put a 17 pound turkey in it you must use it a lot.
Umm I know I got a foodsaver because I had seen the bags in local stores... so I figured I could get some if I ran out. I didn't know the bags could be used in any of the brands lol... it was on sale at the foodsaver site, same as the bags....so far they have had the best prices... It has an option to hook a tube to suck something I have never used. I will check later and let you know

No rush, they are not even hatched yet! But, I will have a st.run of Bob's Barred Hollands, plenty of little boys. They will fit in a small bag, I am pretty sure that they will not be much larger than a Leghorn cockerel. It seems a shame to eat rare birds, but lots of folks do not want or can not keep a rooster. I am hoping to find a local 4-H kid to raise some for me, since I am not technically allowed to keep them.

Thanks! Your birds looked great. They are supposed to keep longer in the freezer, have you found that to be true? Sometimes I take advertising claims with some salt . . .
I’ve eaten stuff two years old and it was good. Vacuum sealing takes all the air out and I guess that’s what keeps it fresh longer. We waste a lot less with it that’s for sure.

I don’t know the true science behind it but I love it. I’ve used it almost every week for 3 years.

I appreciate your help! I do buy stuff at Costco and cut it up, It would be nice to keep it better, longer.
